A little about the person sitting across from you.

I believe the relationship you have with your therapist matters. Knowing a little about who you’re seeking support from can be part of feeling comfortable enough to begin.

Meet Monika

Hi, I’m Monika.

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with a passion for helping people feel more connected — to themselves and to the relationships that matter most.

My approach is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. I believe therapy can be a place to better understand yourself, make sense of your experiences, and discover new ways of relating to yourself and the world around you.

My own experiences have shaped the way I show up as a therapist, too. Having experienced immigration and navigating different cultures, values, and expectations, I’ve come to appreciate how deeply our relationships, families, communities, and environments shape who we are.

I’m also no stranger to seasons of love and loss, stress, burnout, uncertainty, and change. These experiences have strengthened my belief in the importance of connection and making space for all that it means to be human.

My Background & Credentials

Training, experience, and a commitment to ethical care.

My work is informed by relational, systemic, strength-based, and trauma-informed perspectives, with respect for the diverse identities, cultures, relationships, and lived experiences each person brings into the therapy space.

What matters to me in our work together

Safety & Trust

A space where you feel seen, heard, respected, and accepted.

Collaboration

Working together at a pace that feels right for you.

Growth

Making space for new understanding, possibilities, and ways forward.

Compassion

Meeting your experiences with care and curiosity, without judgement.

Beyond the therapy space

Outside of therapy, I enjoy slow mornings, a good coffee, spending time with loved ones (including my cat Luna), travelling, trying new foods, and finding little ways to slow down and recharge.

I appreciate good conversations, new experiences, and the simple moments that make life feel meaningful.

If what you’ve read here feels like a fit…

I’d be glad to meet you. A free consultation is a chance for us to connect, talk about what brings you to therapy, and see whether working together feels right.
